Whew. I've spent the last three dyas copying down acronyms for Networking terms in an effort to practise for the exam. I'm trying to pass the web cert test in foundations my own darn self but I'll be taking the actual next class for the following cert assuming it's not cancelled. I can't tell you how fun it is to do all the networking crud on my own. Not terribly.
I also updated my Gold account to include a banner and wasn't sure if you can do animated banners but lo and behold I see one flashing above me now. Yay. I hope mine won't suck.
So, I have the site for my design site set up but in the meantime nothing to start with template-wise and this template is unreflective of my stuff and I feel guilty because I haven't been coding because I have spent all my other time on trying to figure out how to write a CGI script that will generate your code for you - and this is SO SO SO SO SO hard. I don't want to learn Perl - I'm not ready to clutter my already addled brain with another language, programming nonetheless. Bah.
We're settled in here at D's ma's now and that's good, she's very sweet and it's a nice, stable-feeling household, in which to try to reign in an ever roaming toddler.
He, the toddler, is throwing fits regularly every time we change his plans without advance notice....this is the precursor to the terrible twos, yay me and my life of struggling toward a God-like patience. My own particular child is truly a Jekyll and Hyde type character...you have to see a tantrum in action to know what I mean, I suppose. Sometimes I think rational thought and motherhood simply do not go together.
He's learning how to come down stairs at the moment. I mean, not at this exact moment, as in, while I type...
I wish I could afford the web building suite of goodies that goes for a mere $800 - man oh man. Can you imagine? Enough to make me drool, I swear. I hope I get decent discounts on campus - 75% off would be great!
I have photos I really really want to post but seriously, my time is so stiffly divided between the activities of my normal mothering day and this intense obssession with studying that suddenly overtook me, that it's hard to remember my name much less cool stuff I want to put here, in this, the reason for it all.
An animated banner!!!
I bought my first business-wear-appropriate pair of pants the other day - tweed, stretchy, kind hiphugging but not so's you'd notice with a top that isn't belly-baring. And little ankle boots to go with, yay. And new sneakers for the gym , where I haven't gone since I was two months pregnant.
And a coupla shirts that are three quarter length sleeved, and can go casual or not.
I have a tendency to dote on new clothing purchases, especially since I almost never buy lothes for me. Josh got a new winter coat and bright cherry red overalls! He is pretty cute, I admit. Except for the pig stuck in a trap scream he has. (Remember back in the early days, when he was mere months old and I complained even then? I mean, you would not believe it.)
Anyway - he's stirring so I gotta cut loose, foot loose.
Everybody cut, everybody cut....
(I am such a freaking dork, sorry)
