test (success, sort of, minus hard returns, I think)
linky-link I have replaced doing crossword puzzles with learning fragments of hmtl, one tiny piece at a time. Very few things, other than learning French grammar and looking at minimal pairs, give me such a feeling of instant success. It's like EUREKA, sp? Alright. I don't really have time right now - but I wanted to justify an entry of links. The "linky-link" goes to the band of a girlfriend of mine, whose band I went to see on Halloween after such circuitous debate. They are completely amazing; you'll wish you lived HERE(ha, ha, doubt that very much). And of course you know that little feller. (To be able to put photos anywhere, in forums and e-mails and diaries, fills me with good humor.) In fact I feel I could speak in photos alone but I'm not sure what the parameters are for borrowing and what constitutes outtright theft and so I must stick with my own brood. I have thought of taking pics of my neighborhood which, as a ghetto, is fascinating and beautiful, but I worry that I'll be mugged. This isn't my camera and I would have to perform hari-kari(?) on myself immediately should anything happen to it. This city IS so fucking interesting, though, with its endless strip malls, surburbs, total lack of infrastructure and a central downtown, its proliferating suburbs. People I've known have seemed always to want to escape, which many have done, especially if they weren't born here. Such an ongoing cycle of leaving and returning... Culture here seems to revolve around bars....exclusively. Our only art theater went belly-up a couple weeks/months ago....I dunno. I never get out anyway. This entry is a structural nightmare itself so I'm going now. Anyway,no-one likes a computer hog. Upcoming features include my son's birth story, a poetry page in my geocities site, and some reasearch for my "whatif" project, whose address I don't rightly remember but for whom my answers will be posted here, somewhere.
